I don't drink much coffee, but if I had a machine I think I would drink more, and I would prefer to offer guests this type of coffee, rather than saying, I haven't got a coffee machine, is from a jar ok?, must admit to feeling a little embarrassed by this question.
Is there a machine that anyone could recommend, some are extremely expensive, I have seen them at over £l,000, this is more than I want to pay, would prefer something a little cheaper, but give me your thoughts anyway.
we too have a Tassimo and I have a small one at work. Both were under £30 from Tesco I think, and the one at home we use all te time for making tea rather than boiling a kettle. It is pretty instant near boiling water so I think more economical to use. We do have a few of the pods for some hot choc or nice coffee but don't use those much as we are both tea drinkers.
Jus a regular coffee pot A good coffee I Make it strong 1/2 teaspoon liquid Nestle's coffee mate (flavor of your choice)Mine is Italian sweet cream I have a frother so I make thick foam and pour on top of coffee and stir (Monday milk makes the best thick foam) Delicious - wonderful - best ever - never get tired of my coffee

We have a Nespresso machine now. OH has had various coffee machines over his lifetime and all have been problematic. Think of the cleaning for one! With a Nespresso you just pop in a capsule and hey presto. We also have the milk frother which is excellent. So then you can have all sorts of coffees. Espresso, cappuccino, etc. There are loads of different makes, some more expensive. Loads of different flavours to choose too. I would definitely recommend one.

I had another couple of thoughts on this. You can get your capsules delivered to your house, the following day after order. We recycle the pods. You can also go into the Nespresso shop and taste the coffee if that helps you make a decision as to whether you want to buy a machine.
