What a brilliant activity Jazzy! Love the natural look too I put my wreath up today, I bought a basic one, pulled off anything glitzy and redone it with some Ivy, berries and a handsome sash , would have enjoyed a day out like yours though Jazzy.
I've been recording Kirsties handmade Christmas, which is on everyday at 5pm, then watching it later in the evening, such a feel good show.
I have an eclectic taste 6herry, every year my brother buys me a surprise present (along with something normal, my normal this year was a pair of exquisite arts and crafts candlesticks, just beautiful). He buys me something whacky, not quite so whacky this time but always a conversation piece. One year it was a taxidermy bat, mounted with a slight erection, another a very strange nut shell, size of a dinner plate etc, I've had all sorts of wonderous things, so it's a bit of a joke between us. The joy of Christmas eve is bought to a climax with the exchanging of gifts between my brother and ourselves.
So, it's all about conversation pieces, brilliant when someone comes round who you don't know very well as the focus is always taken to special objects in the house. Everyone should have some conversation pieces.....never an awkward silence
My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.
