Girls, you need to be saved from this temptation, this will be in the back of the drawer/cupboard before you can say Father Christmas, believe me, I know from past experience.
No, by the way, I haven't got one of these, but I have got a spirilitzer, used twice and a right palaver, and a spirilitzer cookery book, brand new, going begging.

Hands up for the spiralizer, you can make mock pasta with it can't you?
Hey! You could do a whole pie top with one of these pins..imagine

@ B, no, I definitely won't be getting an engraved rolling pin, snow white singing wouldn't enter the scenario either, more like D.I.V.O.R.C.E. ~ by Tammy Wynette. With this rolling pin, do you roll out your dough with a normal rolling pin, then the engraving rolling pin, then you have to cut around the shapes with a knife, if so, there would be wobbly cookies in my case, not a good look, and patience, well ................. I'd be exhausted by then. Yes, I think you can make butternut squash spaghetti with the spirilitzer, much easier to buy it in the supermarket in my opinion.

Yes you'd have to roll with a normal, then with the engraved, then use cookie cutters
I'm now tempted to buy a spiralizer, funny that Jazzy, I wouldn't have thought of that had you not mentioned it, sounds like a great invention

I thought the heart shapes were on the engraved rolling pin too, along with the patterns, so you can cut out any cookie cutter shape that you want, I get it now. B ~ if you are seriously thinking of buying a spirilizar, then take a look at the Lakeland site, they have video demonstrations.

I got one this year - making spiced biscuits as gifts. To be honest, the design doesn't show up much. The engraving isn't deep enough. I didn't put any raising agents in the biscuits - they are similar to shortbread so should show up the design - a bit dissapointed...
