B, that looks beautiful. Our old neighbour used to have a dolls house. It's amazing just how many things are available. I am really looking forward to seeing what you do. Don't forget to let us know when your website is open.

Thank you girls, it's nice to have some feedback, like most people I doubt my own capabilities at times and wondered if it was the right thing to do. I'll post another picture next week when it's finished

Good luck with the business Bellatrix. Do you have to cut all the walls, windows etc or do you buy them ready cut and you build the houses? My friend’s mother-in-law has 2 and was explaining how she decorated each room, from walls to lighting. She absolutely loves her houses!
It is a very satisfying hobby for collectors (talking adults here)
I have my own personal one, which is lit called "The Laurels" a four storey town house. It is in my attic bedroom
We buy the houses in standard kit form, just the bare wood. I decorate with tiny 12th scale paper and I also add skirting boards and panelled doors to them, brass door knobs and other fine details. Basic kits don't come with fine details, you have to source them yourself, along with any papers, paints , lighting etc.
We will also offer a build and decorate service for people who have previously bought kits, only to find they are overwhelmed with the construction side.
