Such a lovely sunny day today so I’m off into the garden. First job is to empty all my pots of last years annuals. I always leave them over winter hoping that the geraniums might survive but alas not this year! Lots of daff dead heading to do too.
It is a lovely day! I have deadheaded most of the daffodils as they finished. We have another burst in the garden now, these are the tall ones and the tulips. According to Monty Don now is the time to prune thyme and sage. I will go out later and 'hack ' them. They haven't been done for a while. I need to measure the gaps between the fence supports (again) I want to get some trellis for my climbers. It's nice to get into the garden.
Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
Its due to be much warmer this week - so glad as did a bit in the garden this weekend and it was bitter cold! I went to the local Garden Club meeting on Thursday night - won 2 tomato plants in the raffle and bought some unusual herbs for my herb garden. The speaker was quite dishy too!! I am getting rid of my summerhouse - a friend is having it. I rarely use it and its not in a good spot really - when I'm home to use it the sun is somewhere else lol. For this year will use that space for some pots and my table and chairs, but plan to work some good compost into the soil and grow more veg - better use of the space I think.
Part of our garden is 'the woods' so we have hundreds of them. It is 'our' flower, when we shared our feelings for the first time, we were in a local wood, and surrounded by bluebells. Before that, we thought that we were just friends.
I have been getting to grips with my little garden. I have some white bluebells but no acers. How lovely to have such a beautiful memory 6herry. Cutting box to shape and general replenishing of bark to borders and chippings to under the rose arbor. Busy making a lavender and blue hydrangea area. All in pots. B&Q selling 3 quite large lavendars for £15. Off to Lidl as normally get some good buys in plants there.
