Loving the bluebells at the moment, aren’t you? Saw quite a lot on our journey to and from Ludlow at the weekend. Did a bit of googling earlier to see why they like growing under trees and found some interesting information about them. Did you know it’s against the law to remove the bulbs of wild bluebells? That there is hybrid bluebell that is threatening our native one and also a Spanish one?
Ive noticed a tall yellow flower at the side of country roads recently and think they are rapeseed flowers. I’ve seen them referred to as ‘escapes . Not sure exactly what that means in biological terms but probably because they are not a natural wildflower. The fields of rapeseed plants look spectacular at the moment.
