Jazzy, your hubs is a real buzzy bea. Hubs and I used to make country wines, lovely after being left to mature for a couple of years. The only thing that I do with plums now is jam. We did have a lot of wild plums (cherry plums) but unfortunately the trees have gone now. It must be lovely seeing other people come and pick your plums. Are they Victoria's?
We used to live in the Midlands and I think that I recall there being a plum festival in a place called Pershore.
B, blackberries are a good start. I'm sure that they are ready now. I always made bramble jelly, no seeds! You can find sloes, elderberries, occasionally wild plums. Crab apples make a lovely pink jelly, rose hips for syrup. Be wary around fungi and nuts. It's exciting when you find little treats.
