Anyone want to share their 'shaggy dog' stories with the rest of us?
This is my dog, she is a dalmation/collie, but most people assume she is a dalmation, and so kids love her. She is very soft and gentle with us, but she really is the ultimate alpha female, and will not take any cheek from any dog or even dogs.
It is amazing how they can tell long before us if the other dog wants to play or fight, but I can tell my the pull on the lead which is which. If she is pulling high, she is preparing to play. If the pull is low, I can tell that the growling and barking is just about to start.
She's lovely. I love to see dogs running around on the beach, they get so much enjoyment. It's nice to see some dogs greeting each other like old friends. You can really pick out the trouble makers, they snap and bark at other dogs. Their owners don't have any control and have to wait until the dog decides to come back!
Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
What a lovely dog 6herry:) I've had two dogs in the past, lived very long lives for the breeds but succumbed to old age in the end. I have always had cats and have two at the moment. One is coming up to 19 and the other just over 1.
I do love dogs though, get quite tearful watching supervet.
My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.
