Shocked to hear the news last night that George passed away yesterday aged 53. I loved him, had been happily singing along to Last Christmas yesterday morning, Careless Whisper is 'our song' and Turn a Different Corner is a song which I have always loved. Such a shame it turned out to be his Last Christmas.
What a year 2016 has been, so many big stars leaving us. Hurry up 2017, and please be kinder to us.

Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
Not sure I can agree with this statement about him - he said the only reason he had hidden being gay for so long was because he knew his mother would worry about him catching Aids and he didn't want to upset her. Must have been very difficult for him to try to hide it for her sake, not because he didn't want adverse publicity for himself.
Did you mean his picking up strangers desires 6herry? I saw an interview with him once when he said he liked to pick up strangers for sex several times a week and had been doing it since he was a teenager. I'm not trying to sully his memory, it's something he openly admitted to..was it a Piers Morgan interview?
Apart from what he did in his private life (each to their own) I understand that he was an incredibly generous man, giving a lot of money away anonymously and giving his time too, helping in the homeless shelters.
My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.
