Most unusual but we have snow in the Home Counties! At least 3 inches I reckon & still snowing .... looks pretty, hoping it'll have improved for tomorrow's commute though. Have a great Sunday everyone.
Well - we had 12 inches of snow yesterday. Took an hour to dig out the truck this morning, and I think it will be a slow day - who in their right mind will go shopping for a kitchen today lol It does look very pretty today though. This is the view from my work window
This morning was a cold and damp. By the time our little one and I were due out (just before 8:30) it was snowing. Our little one looked out of the window and said 'look granny) she has never seen snow coming down so heavily. We went out and she was amazed that it was so cold. By the time we arrived at school it was white over and the roads were very sloppy. Throughout the day it has thawed and snowed, now it's windy and hailing. If we have a heavy frost overnight, the roads will be very dangerous. Has anyone else had snow?
That was the day we moved, so glad to report. No snow!
We had a couple of inches here in the Republic of Yorkshire over xmas, but no 12 inches like you poor waifs in wales.
We have had snow overnight. Approximately an inch. The news reports on the radio are talking of road closures and lots of accidents. Yes the side roads are very slippy but the gritters have been working most of the night to ensure that the main roads are clear. The buses that bring students to school (some as far away as Whitby) were approximately one hour late. Lots of pegs in our little ones school were empty, the children that did attend were excited about the snow! My supermarket delivery was early!
