I used to be on my own for weeks on end due to Steven being abroad. Liked it most of the time. I used to go to films he would not enjoy, meet friends and lie in in the mornings instead of being woken up at 6.30. What are you going to do?

Having been brought up in the RAF, I was used to my Dad being called away for weeks (or months) on end in the middle of the night (so was my Mum). I went on to marry a man in the U.S. Air Force and didnt mind a bit when he was sent away unaccompanied (I wonder why he's my ex ). But present hubby used to work away occasionally and I actually looked forward to some time on my own. I didn't really understand friends who complain their OH had to work late or go away on courses. Absence makes the heart grow fonder as far as I'm concerned!
Absence ?? is there such a thing ? If I ever get that chance, I will look forward to just cooking for me, the house would be pretty tidy all the time, I could enjoy watching loads of period dramas and enjoy the freedom of not being at everyone's beck and call !!
