On the subject of he milkman....I had to stop mine because firstly I worked out he was ripping me off. I often changed my order by leaving a note in the bottle and it took a while before I realised he was overcharging me. Secondly even though I bought plastic covers for the bottles the milkman wouldn't put them on and almost every morning I'd collect my bottles only to find the birds had got to them first. My kids were young then and I couldn't risk the germs so I ended up pouring so much away.

Great photo VW 😀
I refuse straws now if I’m given one with a drink. The sight of the turtle with one stuck up it’s nose was so sad!
I always carry a shopping bag in my handbag so refuse any that are offered. I was given an envirosax bag as a present which is brilliant as it folds up to nothing so I bought myself a few more on amazon. I’ve learnt a lot since watching a film calle A Plastic Ocean, if you can find it please watch. Although we have to stop using plastics, I wonder how long it will take to educate and influence the people and countries who discard plastic and rubbish directly into rivers. 5 countries are responsible for most plastic in the oceans and it comes from 10 rivers! China, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand.
In reply to your original post Linda, (your words have disappeared in the above box )I heard on the radio a couple of days ago, that there are over a million door step deliveries each day, so long live the milkman
I am going to stop putting bananas in a plastic bag to take to the check out, pointless when I think about it, also no more plastic straws.
Also, when I was at the hairdressers yesterday, I was given a nylon cape to wear, then a smaller plastic cape was tied around my neck, I am going to politely refuse the plastic cape in future.
I always have my shopping delivered without bags. Toilet cleaners and washing up liquid come in a plastic bag, as does frozen items! I bought pears, they came in a plastic tray, covered with a hard plastic cover and sealed in a plastic bag!
