Boiled White Cabbage - mum used to slice it up and boil it as a veg with Sunday roast along with the other veg. It tastes of nothing unless it's raw in coleslaw, but it is cheap and there were 7 of us to feed... yuck yuck yuck!
Boiled white cabbage is utterly yuck and bland, bland, bland!
It can be improved greatly with a sprinkle of pepper though, and I am not that fussy on pepper either.
I wish I could grow them. I am pretty limited to what I can grow successfully. Still learning.
Oh me too - they have 2 chances lol. So far my broad beans are coming up well, potatoes just starting, beets, radish and last years strawberry plants have come to life lol. All just in pots or raised planter - crappy soil, some good quality compost mixed in, plus some fish blood and bone. Then it's down to me remembering to water on dry days!!
