Annad that looks very swish. I hope that you and your friends really enjoyed your coffee. Moi, we don't have one in our little town, but there are some located in the UK. We have loads of independent coffee shops, offering a really good selection of coffees from around the world. We also have little cafes that serve afternoon tea in china cups and saucers. Lovely teapot and milk jug and sugar bowl. Another cafe has a lovely selection of tea cosys ranging from a simple crochet to an elaborate one with animals crocheted into the design.

We certainly have them in the cities. I have only ever been in a speciality coffee shop once. I was rather put off by the coffee though. The cup was very large and very bowl like. The problem was the top third, I had to sip as it was boiling hot. The middle third was just right, and very pleasant. But the bottom third was cold...
I have judged specialist coffee shops on that experience, maybe unfairly, but that was how I got on.
