When we had Treacle our large tom cat he used to hunt the Kamakaze squirrels who raided the duck food of our neighbours and dared to intrude into our garden. Now he and the ducks are gone the squirrels eat our tulip bulbs, 100 to be precise. I like the tree rats but want them to leave my bulbs alone. Our two felines are useless, only chasing birds that fall out of trees or mice. They don't earn their cat food. Advice appreciated, other than trading the felines for more aggressive pussycats. Thanks.
We have quite a few squirrels lurking in the trees at the back of the house. They have buried food in my mini orchard so are regular visitors to the garden. They used to climb up the bird feeder so we smeared oil on it - that stopped them for a while. These garden visits are despite the fact that we have an ex racing greyhound! They say the smell of a dog can keep them away - obviously not! haha
