I buy a lot of fizzy water and of course now feeling I must stop because of the plastic bottles. I had a look at the Soda Stream website last night. There appears to be a choice of 3 models. Has anyone on here got one? Do you use it? Which model do you have? I don’t want to invest in another kitchen gadget that will sit gathering dust so any comments will be useful.
You've taken me back to my childhood, we had a soda stream when I was a kid - but to be honest the fizzy drink flavours never tasted like the real thing ... although they've probably become more sophisticated over the years.
My brother has one LL, just for making fizzy water. I don't know what model it is, it was gifted to him by a friend. He's had it a few years and he uses it every day, so it's always on the counter top. I wanted one as YD likes fizzy water but found them to be rather expensive just for one person who wasn't here all the time. I looked into getting a second hand one on ebay but realised you have to be careful as the cannisters for some of the older models are no longer available. I think they're a good investment if you get through a lot of the sparkling stuff
My friends, as I have discovered myself, there are no disasters, only opportunities. And, indeed, opportunities for fresh disasters.

I’ve bought one. There’s an offer on the soda Stream site which finishes today. It’s cost me £99.99 but it’s going to save me money in the long run as I buy so much from the supermarket and of course save all those plastic bottles being produced on my behalf. There are cheaper ones on Amazon but mine had more bottles and an extra canister.

Hello sully. Thanks for your comment. My new soda Stream ariived this morning and I’m sat here with a glass of fizzy water with a splash of lime cordial. It’s so easy to use and I’m sure I will up my intake of water having chilled fizzy water in the fridge. I have still to work out where I’ll get the gas cylinders from. Where do you get yours sully? I know they are recyclable so that’s a great thing.
