Can't believe I had never had this vegetable until one appeared in my vegetable box order. It was very big. I made roast chips with one half and mash with the other half, it was so lovely. Anyone else have this often?

Ive eaten it in the past but as I don’t buy our food never look in the veg aisle in the supermarket so not sure if it’s available here. I’m not that keen on celery and think this tastes rather like it sothe answer is no,
We eat it mashed with potato. Mash with less calories and guilt. tastes wonderful. I don't think it tastes much like celery LL. Try it with potato mash. You might like it better mixed with something else.
I am going to try this, as I am not a fan of mashed potatoes, do I mash it with milk and butter, chips sound good too.
LL ~ I like your cooking arrangements as well, OH is doing a bit of cooking now he is retired, but I always see to the dishwashing and clearing up, he has mastered beer battered fish and deep fried chips though, just love Tuesdays when the fish man calls
Me too VW, I've just chopped one up and it's simmering away in the kitchen with a couple of diced parsnips and a large carrot too, then I'll mash it with some butter and you've given me the idea to add some cream cheese to it also, mine has herbs and garlic in it, hoping it will be lovely
