Hubs had quite a large selection of books, lots being hardbacks. I decided to go through them with a view to donating them. I only found approximately 6 that I felt able to part with. All had been read maybe three times. Did you know that libraries are accepting donations of good quality books? It is a nice feeling that these books will be read again and not just dumped for landfill.
Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
I didn't know that Trisha, what a good idea. I have just been thinning out our book shelves, way to many. Some are a set of the ology books, wizardology, dragonology, egyptology etc that were YDs, they are big but rather beautiful. I will be donating them to the charity or library. There are sites too Trisha. We buy books and music magpie, where you can make a bit of money. They usually get re-sold on Amazon, so will be read again by someone.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I didn’t know that either and makes great sense. Oxfam are big into selling books and at one time had a bookshop in London, maybe they still do. I find it hard getting rid of books that I’ve enjoyed but eventually some have to go for space.
