For me it has to be the long legged spiders that appear around our house from September onwards. I hate how they run so fast and are so BIG

Ticks and Horseflies for me.
As we go for regular walks through the Forest, we need to be extra vigilant at the end of each walk.
Horseflies usually just bite our exposed arms and legs, so they're pretty easy to spot and to treat.
Sophia and I check each others' bodies for Ticks as they are more critical to find. We have a special plastic instrument, obtained from a local vet, that removes them completely.

Don’t like ticks or horseflies either Vanessa.
As for in the home, I agree LL, those big spiders give me the shivers, about this time of year I have a pint beer glass and piece of card handy in the sitting room ready to scoop them up and out into the garden, but the one’s I really loathe are the spindly leg spiders, I have a year round battle with them, in corners, high up in ceiling corners, in the shower, damn things, my hoover bags must be full of them, and just a few weeks ago, I found the biggest one ever in the bedroom.

Sophia is more scared of spiders than I am. The last two nights, an enormous spider appeared in our bedroom each night and she asked me to remove them. I don't know what species it was but it measured two inches in length. We have a special bug removal tool for such purposes - it's actually called a spider catcher. . It's a clear plastic box, about 4 inches square, with a sliding door to trap it inside (see photo below). You place it over the spider, close the door, then just open it up again outside and off it goes without killing it.

I’m not scared of spiders although I’m not keen on finding them in the bedroom. My biggest hate is slugs. I can’t stand anything slimy. Yuk.

I also agree on the Hornets Bellatrix.
I've never been stung by one (fingers crossed) but the size of them scares me. Also wasps, I run a mile if they are flying near me.
