Looking out at rain and gusting winds (not that it’s possible to see wind) Definitely a day to stay in and bake Not using full stops to see how it looks

It doesn't look right - like you lost your train of thought and forgot what else you were going to put we've had really heavy rain since about 2am, and now waiting for the rest of the storm to arrive - 60mph winds for the rest of the day apparently.......

You’re still using capital letters though or is that supposed to be ok?
It’s filthy rain and howling wind here at our van. I had said we definitely had to go out today as we’ve run out of the little pods for our coffee machine (gasp...no). I need other things but we can manage. Now I’ve looked out of the window and I can feel the van rocking and hear the rain pounding on the roof I think we’ll have to just have cafetière coffee.
We were struggling so much for space on the way here that I didn’t bring my raincoat. Normally I’m not bothered about getting wet but this is a howling gale. We love being at the van when the weathers like this. I love to look out at it. I really love to look at the sea when the weathers like this but with hubs being so unsteady on his feet just getting as far as the car might be too much of a challenge. We’ve come in hubs car and it’s been a bit dodgy starting. He has the knack of getting it to start and I don’t otherwise I’d go on my own. So I’m going to sit at the window and watch the rain. Love it.
We’ve been at the van 3 weeks now and all we’ve had is extreme weather. The first week it was blazing hot and since then it’s been like this.

Gales up to 67 mph and heavy rain here at the moment. Unfortunately, we had to go out in it at 9am to have a job done on our car, which we had to leave at the garage and get a taxi home. We're like a couple of drowned rats now

I would definitely stay in and stay dry until this storm has passed. There are people on some of the camping forums complaining that their awnings blew down in the night! I am sorry but if we have been camping and this weather/storm is forecast, the awning would have been down ready for it.

I just don't get some people.

What is going on with the weather? In the past week, we have had torrential rain and howling winds. Yesterday was so cold, I had a fire last night! Today is bright sunshine with a gentle breeze!

Was it 2 weeks ago that we had temps of 30 + ? it was 13 here yesterday. I'm not complaining though as I don't handle the heat well, not this humid heat we've had anyway. Love Autumn Linda so I'm feeling quite chipper

We took our little granddaughter to an open air performance of the Wizard of Oz yesterday, we were wearing winter coats, woolly hats and gloves. We had a blanket each and a waterproof picnic blanket to cover us. We also took chairs. Despite that, we were really cold when we got home. Dorothy was in a cotton dress and the fairy had a floaty dress, I bet they were frozen.

I think we have to accept that the seasons have shifted somewhat each way, yes we still get a definite spring, summer, autumn and winter but those seasons are not quite the same as I remember from even 10 years ago. To think that we can now plant things in our garden that wouldn't have survived our climate in the not too distant past is incredible. I have cordyline Australis in the garden and a huge date palm, an olive tree and bamboos all going through the winter nicely. I am in the warmer half of the country I think but even so I'm quite surprised at the variety of outdoor plants now.
I have a virginia creeper Linda which turns a dramatic red in the Autumn
I love open air theatre Trisha but I bet the performers were not expecting to be so cold in August, it's usually pretty safe until end of September.

It's another beautiful, sunny day here again. Our local radio station has just played Mr Blue Sky, very appropriate today.

After horizontal rain and strong winds over the weekend, today is..... A lovely day, clear blue sky and not even the hint of a breeze!
