Oh my, how busy work has gone lately. We are trying to work by appointment only to try and keep customers separate, but they still walk right past my big red notice saying - no walk-ins, by appointment only. They get stroppy if they can't be seen immediately. Where have peoples manners gone. Thankfully, as a lot of my day is spent on a pc, I can bob on here for some light relief. I know I shouldn't moan as I am very grateful I still have a job after whats going on in the country, but there is only so long I can keep going at this pace! Roll on this long weekend. Anyone doing anything fun?

Thank goodness for weekends but busy at work is exhausting, I hope you take time to wind down (I nearly typed wine down by mistake 😄).
I’ve been busy for 3 months but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now with children going back to school and retirement on the horizon.
I’m away with a couple of friends in a cottage in York with it’s own jacuzzi for a long weekend. I’m planning on reading, knitting, eating and talking to people who aren’t children or my husband bless him.

Seems some people can't read vw or more likely don't want to.

Good that you have customers VWC, but frustrating that they aren't following the social distancing measures. OH has been working on landscaping our garden for the last few months, the last bit is to finish the patio which he was hoping to do last weekend but the rain put a stop to that, hopefully this weekend we can get it finished

I'm fortunate that as my own boss I can pretty much choose the hours I work. Unlike your experiences VW, I am able to ensure safety rules are in place and observed, as my job is one-to-one. Clients coming to my house are here one at a time by strict appointment only. My partner Sophia, is a Legal Consultant (I'm not allowed to give out any details about her work) but she is able to work remotely from home at the moment. I like the sound of 'wining' down Beckyboo. Wine can be a big stress reliever at times As for this weekend..... we're planning a long bike ride around the Forest. We can already just get our bikes out from home and be straight into the Forest, but we wanted to be able to go further afield. With that in mind, we've just had a tow-bar fitted to our car, and bought a bicycle rack that fits on it. We used to have a bike rack that fitted higher up on the car, but we're both of a fairly slight build and were finding it difficult to lift our quite heavy mountain bikes onto it. Therefore we didn't use it very much. Anyway, this way we don't have to lift our mountain bikes too high so it's so much easier. We just need the weather to stay fine for us now

Those racks which fit to the towbar are great .... my OH is quite tall and strong, but even he struggled when we had the one on the roof of the car. Hope the weather is good and the flies are scarce!

You are very lucky to be able to choose when to work BM. My hairdresser is still wading through the backlog of his clients who were desperate for a haircut. I waited weeks after the re-opening to just get a trim. He is constantly playing catchup and is working 12 hour days.

New clients have taken a back seat for now until I get fully organised.

Is it at the moment - flat out busy. I have a new colleague starting next week though so that will be a big help. The trouble will be finding time to settle her in and give her training.
