This was a bit of a shocker. Woke up to -5 degrees this morning and the countryside was a thick blanket of frosty crystals, glistening everywhere. It was truly magical. Even the cobwebs sparkled like icy doilies.

Cold here too, frosty morning. I do love to see the trees all sparkly. Because we are so near to the coast, we don't get that as much. We do get the spider webs.

Here, just 0°C and bright sun. Like it much better than a less cold foggy day !

Heavy frost for us this morning. Now it's bright and sunny, it's not pleasant driving though. The sun is so low in the sky that it's dazzling.

I've heard that a lot of people suffer with migraines at this time of year because of the sun being so low in the sky it shines straight into the back of your eyes.
I'm with Bella on this. I love the changing seasons and I could never live somewhere this didn't happen.

It was frosty here too. I suppose it is healthy, as it does kill off bugs.

I do love this time of the year - a deep frost here this morning, promising bright sunshine later...
