Don't worry sunny, we don't have our Christmas shopping sorted. Things seem to be sorting themselves, our sons cooker has just gone phut and our daughters lap top has done the same. Driving lessons for our number one grandson and computer stuff for our number two grandson. It's looking like a Noah's ark and books for our little one. It's a bit of an expensive one this year.
Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
I made a start last Wed when me and a friend went on a shopping day. I lost the will to live and all my energy by 2pm, and just became a bag carrier lol. Bought a fair bit online so waiting for those to arrive. The only things wrapped so far are OH's as he will snoop!
What I really need to do is get everything out and check what I've bought & for whom, otherwise I am tempted to keep adding stuff on for one or other of the kids thinking that I've spent more on the other one, only to find I haven't so then have to buy another present to even up the spend! I started keeping a spreadsheet but I haven't been meticulous enough to remember to fill it in every time I've bought something.
I only have a few to do so usually do them on Christmas Eve when it is finally quiet in the afternoon. This year OH has asked for a tee shirt and I am trying to replace a quilted cardigan the kittens chewed. I have found one on Amazon.
I am painting a picture of a hedgehog for my SIL as she has recently adopted one and a dog for MIL and BIL.
Haven't decided what else to buy for OH. I need paints.
I'm doing quite well but haven't finished, completely stuck on what to get for some people. I also have the same problem as Jax, making sure I haven't spent more on one child than another. I don't like asking people what they would like as I like to give surprises but find as they get older the sort of surprises I give aren't always the right ones My brother and I always give each other obscure gifts, I like that and am looking forward to what he'll get me this year.. he puts so much thought into it
Beautiful books SD - we went to a book evening in Cambridge at Heffers on Thursday night and the Brexit Island (and the rest in the series) were on display, they looked really good. I find it's easier to pick a theme (like books) when Christmas shopping for our large family
