I've walked around Tarn Hows in the Lake District this afternoon. Started off dry but then the wind picked up as did the rain as DID MY WALKING ........... Never rains in the bar though which is where I am now!
We had to go out yesterday and got soaked just getting to the car! Flaming June indeed. It's amazing that the garden is only wet on the top. Today it's dry, but chilly. I thought that we could dispense with the central heating, apparently not.
Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.
Sunshine this morning, I am very pleased as we have had a farm visit from the village school, our grand daughter's class are doing their project this term about animals, I had to do the tour and talk and answered many questions, as OH had to go to the doctors with a splinter wound. Our chickens and geese were inquisitive, but, unfortunately, all the sheep headed to the far field, and the bulls hid in the barn, so off I went to encourage our ram, who was sunbathing, to do a walkabout, he has large, impressive, curly horns, and once he wandered over to the middle of the field, then the bulls gained confidence, they usually want to come to see us to have their heads and bodies scratched, but fifteen squeaky voiced 7year olds probably put them off, two hens and their chicks were fussed, and the finale was our dog, good girl, she behaved beautifully.
