We discovered "Hygge" during a stay in Copenhagen about 10 years ago and I've always thought it funny that until recently I've never heard it referred to here. Then all of a sudden it's in fashion! My OH and I read about it in our travel guide and because we are a bit daft at times and couldn't remember the word have called it "Hurgley". Enjoy your book Bellatrix.
Favourite book annad? That's a hard one as I have several for different reasons!
It's really hard to say a favourite. I'll always love the Harry Potter books but I'm sure there are other sets just as good.
Hygge LL, I got it for MD to help her focus on more positive things, but it's hard to want to do anything when you're feeling down. I've reminded her of it now that she is feeling a bit better.
I have let so many things get me down this year that i wanted a reminder of how to be happy
That's interesting Bellatrix as it sounds like a different interpretation than the one I remember. Our travel book described it as being difficult to explain as we have no such equivalent word but it was about creating a warm, cosy atmosphere. In Copenhagen, everywhere we went had tea lights burning all day long which was one of the things the book said helped create Hygge.
