I am a succulent and catci lover. I have some seeds and also have planted succulents in old cracked teapots to display. the latter are a bid sad. Any suggestions how they can be made happy again? I wonder if it is the soil they are in.

I think repotting in the spring would give your plants a boost Badpuss, my cacti and succulents do much better in terracotta pots, I bought some from the supermarket in glass containers and they are surviving but are fairly dormant in growth, whereas my terracotta plants thrive and multiply, also once the frosts are over, mine go out on the terrace for their summer holidays, and come indoors at the end of September, they are then showing their true colours and ready to face being indoors for the winter.

I have a feeling that succulents like gritty free draining soil. I would be tempted to put them somewhere out of the damp and leave them. I don't think that they enjoy being repotted.
