I agree, Bellatrix, but F.N doesn't seem an appropriate solution. Lots of promises but no means to carry them out, and moreover, such a lot of xenophobia and hatred ... Things are looking bad at the moment, with policemen demonstrating , people in Calais scared by the migrants, notwithstanding past year's terrorist attacks. But definitely, NO FN !!!
Well, Arnaldur Indriðason managed to write about twenty icelandic "crime fiction" books . Anyway, I wouldn't be able to live in such a country. Even here, I find sunset at 5/6 PM depressing !
Sunnydays , though in the regional elections last December her party didn't get as many seats as they expected, I'm afraid she may be a serious contender. You know, in the first round of an election, a lot of people choose a contender just to show they disagree with the current government, but if you add these protest votes to those of her real supporters, who knows ?
I'd say too many things, as (just like Sunnydays') my shoulders don't thank me for the weight !
My keys. My mobile phone. A wallet, with my identity card, credit cards, all other "cards", stamps, banknotes and small change (very heavy). Cosmetic bag. An organiser. Pens. Hankies. Glasses. A folding shopping bag.
" I confess" ... I 'm a bit addicted to jewels and gems - have always been, as far as I can remember . But in my "collection", there are mostly "semi-precious" gems, and quite often set in silver, often "souvenirs" from travels abroad . Vintage or modern design, colours matching any outfit, rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets ... My "birthstone" is diamond, and I only have a set (pendant and earrings) paved with tiny diamonds, gift from Mum, but several quite nice looking "Zirconium" pieces. In fact, I don't consider the money value as much as the style and the design .
I don't know much about President Hollande to be honest with you Shaliby - I know what he looks like obviously, but I really don't know much about his politics
The problem is that very often, it seems he himself doesn't really know about his politics.
He's got a nickname "Flamby", after a dessert : pleasant aspect, but soft texture.
I'd like to know who Americans and British citizens think represent France ? About "The Donald", I've just read several ladies accuse him of "misconduct", which he, of course, denies. Bellatrix, is that your daughter who wouldn't go to school, if I remember well ?
I wonder if in the UK there's an equivalent to some websites we have here, like "Copains d'avant": you register, you enter the schools you've been to and when, and you can join people who were there at the same time. And also can see photos, and organise a meeting.
I haven't bought any magazine for at least 4 years. All the same and, in fact, just ads for new products you don't really need. We have some "gossip" magazines about celebrities (which, in "French", are called "Peoples") and it's just ...crap (sorry, I don't realize how offensive the word is). I've never thought of using Pinterest as a sort of "notebook", but have often found very useful tips there.
