Tomorrow is non uniform day for our little granddaughter. School have told the students that they can wear something spotty or a children in need t shirt. They have requested a small donation. Some parents are saying that it's unreasonable and are threatened to keep their children at home tomorrow. I have to mention that school don't ask for anything apart from a weekly donation of 50p for snacks. A snack is a carton of milk and a piece of fresh fruit. Good value in my eyes.

Nice to see them being offered 'real' food, and not sugars.

Can’t believe how uncharitable those parents sound Trisha. It’s not teaching their children to care for others. However, are the parents really opposed to what their children are told they can wear? My kids school rule was, wear red. The kids loved not having to wear their uniforms.

I always smile when I see them out with their mum shopping. They look so 'free' when they make the choice to be seen in their costumes and masks. Particularly when all the rest of us are being conventional.

When my kids were at school they would take a donation for the non school uniform day, for whatever charity was being sponsored. I never thought it was wrong to ask.
