Only in the spring and summer. Elder flowers, blackberries and occasionally elder berries. Although, I have, in the past, gathered sloes for gin. I must admit, I haven't looked for chestnuts. We have some lovely wooded areas nearby, I will have a look. I love roasted chestnuts.

Isn’t that a lovely word? Dingle. Dingle Dell. No foraging by me either. A friend told us he found some wonderful blackberries along by the railway track but then discovered that those who look after the railways, possibly called Rail Track, spray the banks with weedkiller. No more blackberry picking.
