Earlier on this year, I ordered seed potatoes from a well known on line store. They didn't turn up, I eventually received a refund. The delivery company had acknowledged receipt. More recently, I ordered a new rotary washing line from another reputable store, again the delivery company acknowledged receipt, it didn't come. Another one has been sent, again the delivery company have acknowledged receipt. Now apparently there will be a delay. The supplier has asked that I call them back on Thursday if it doesn't arrive.

It's a nightmare sometimes with online purchases. I bought a gazebo before lockdown from Primrose who I had previously, successfully bought plants from. However after months of waiting, still no sign, and I had to get a refund via the Paypal dispute service who were very good. Primrose were not replying to any messages, and there was actually a Facebook page for people complaining about them. Several hundreds of people didn't get their orders, had no correspondence from them and got very frustrated about it. I think the company were totally inundated with people buying gardening stuff over lockdown and just couldn't keep up. Totally understandable but they handles it so wrong. They just needed to make a statement or keep in touch instead of running away from the issues. They continued taking new orders but left old orders unfulfilled.
I was going to order something from Primrose but it seems a lot of things on their website are not available - curiously I ordered the item via Amazon, it did arrive and guess who the vendor was ... Primrose!
Very disappointing when things don't arrive when they're expected, with the demise of the high street shops, we need reliable deliveries/suppliers.
I've had issues myself with a couple of runners I ordered for the hallway as I wanted them for the photos, didn't arrive after several weeks. I got a refund but it's the runners I wanted and I ran out of time.
