I have been thinking about getting some long sleeved jamas for the winter. I sent for some from M&S, my usual size. They were absolutely huge and the quality was poor. They were returned. Does anyone know of any shop that is on line, that is true to size? I have ordered from Lands End recently, the tops were ok, the skirt that I ordered was huge. They do have jamas, but higher prices. Should I just put up and shut up and order some jamas from there?

I’m not sure anybody’s trying things on at the moment. I suppose it depends on local rules but I’ve been in a couple of shops recently and the changing rooms are closed.
I used to buy all my pjs from M&S but recently I’ve got them from Primark. The quality isn’t as good but the sizing is better. Also the legs aren’t quite as wide so I’m less likely to trip. I get a matching long sleeved top to go with them.
I’ve heard Lands End is very good. I have a friend who buys all her clothes from them.
The main reason I get all mine from a Primark now is because the quality is not that good and the pj bottoms shrink when they’re washed. That suits me with being so little. I put them on a hot wash and voila...they’re the right length. So it’s probably not a good recommendation unless you’re shrimpy too. 😄
I’ve noticed different sizes, even in the same shop! This weekend I went to Bon Marche and bought several long sleeve tops, a fleece top and gillet. I couldn’t try them on but actually, the sizes were very good and quality pretty good too. The only thing that irritates slightly is that lots of the tops are 3/4 sleeves rather than long..
The three quarter length sleeves does seem to be a big thing now. I had a few tops like that but I actually don’t really like that sleeve length even though full length sleeves are always that bit too long.
I tend to push my sleeves up to the elbows. I do it unconsciously and when I realise I pull them back down. My mum always did that too. I think that’s partly why I don’t want to.

I’ve had jimjams from Gap and White Company that came in S M L so I went for M and they fit fine from both. I like to dry my washing on the line but in winter if the weather’s not suitable will use the tumble dryer so I try to find fabric that will. White Company tends not to and is expensive and I’ve bought during sales.
For the first time in my entire life, I can honestly say that I have bought absolutely no clothing whatsoever in 2020 .... I am hoping I can get to the end of the year without doing so. Obviously with lockdown happening, I didn't need to wear clothes - well not quite accurate, but I didn't need to wear anything smart or special and now that I've realised that I haven't been tempted to buy anything, I'm setting myself the goal to get to 2021 before purchasing new clothes (actually, I'm setting myself the goal to just get to 2021 ). I have been 'shopping my wardrobe' and discovering some stuff which I've hardly worn for one reason or another - I have far more Winter clothes than Summer, so I figure if I've managed this far into the year, I should be able to make it to January
It’s not just buying clothes, it’s making them too - I bought a pattern for a top. Going by bust measurement on the pattern, I was making it at least 2 sizes bigger than I would buy in a shop. When I made the top it was huge! At some point I’ll undo the seams and make it my usual size... so frustrating though 🙄
