Has anyone put their Christmas tree and decorations up yet ? I can't tell you how many people I know are already doing this or planning the ornamental displays ! Sometimes, I find it can be a ....who makes the best natural garland displays or who has the best looking tree with the prettiest ornaments We have all sorts of ornaments on our tree from places we have visited to things the kids made, when they were little. All lovely memories and nothing co-ordinated

Hoping to persuade my OH to go and buy a (real) Christmas tree later this week - with everyone doing it early this year I'm afraid all the good ones will have gone if we leave it too long

Our local council are doing an on line celebration later, this is in place of the actual Christmas lights switch on. They are hoping that everyone will take part and decorate their homes inside and outside. Last night my outside lights went up and when our little one gets home from school, we will decorate the tree. Quite a few of my neighbours have had theirs up for a few days now.

Making a start this weekend Sunny, tree first, just like yours, nothing coordinated, then I gradually add more lights in the hall and kitchen/diner along with Christmas decorations, nothing over the top for me, just subtle π

I haven't done anything. I have a surveyor coming on Friday so thought I'd better wait. For the first time in my life, I am not feeling Christmassy...need to watch more Kirstie

Our garden is now illuminated with white, coloured lights and 2 penguins! Itβs cheering me up on these very grey days and hopefully lifting some gloom for others as they pass. I was a bit nervous with all the extention cables, time clocks and adapters. How do folk sort it out when they have enormous displays? The decorations came up from the cellar but so far not got any further.

I went to a Christmas unit near us to buy a few bits and they had nearly sold out ! The woman said the queues at the weekend were constant. People are definitely keen to brighten their days. Hope the tree decorating went well Trisha with your little one. Kiddies just love Christmas. We are going to buy our tree at the weekend too Jax, but I am beginning to think there won't be many to choose from I have just helped my daughter display her shop window for Christmas with coloured neon decorations and I made a huge garland to fit around her door filled with all her multi-coloured baubles from last year. You definitely can't miss her shop in the village, but all the little children love it. To see their faces light up when they walk passed is all the pleasure you need. Will try and put a picture on tomorrow, takes me ages to get them off my phone and onto computer. Hope the surveyor is nice B and all goes to plan. Often the last minute Christmasses are the nicest x

Mine is coming down from the attic tonight. YS will put it together and put the lights on it just leaving me to decorate it tomorrow.
I bought a new artificial tree last year. I got it in the January sales and had to wait nearly a year to put it up. Itβs one of those with artificial snow on it. It looks lovely but that stuff goes everywhere.
Looking forward to having my tree up though.

Lovely tree Trisha I bet little one loved helping! Ours went up last week, hubby impatiently had to wait for me to finish painting the room or it would have been up sooner! π nothing artistic here, just lots of penguins (hubby loves them) and lots of lights windows, ceilings in the sitting room and kitchen/diner plus the back garden this year. I must admit it does cheer up these dark days. I normally prefer them up the week before Christmas but hubby likes them up as soon as he can! B, I hope your visit went well yesterday π€
