Spent a couple of hours de-cluttering/cleaning our utility room this morning, it's lovely & tidy and I keep walking in there just to see how nice it looks  - it won't last, but for now I'm happy. Got the wood-burner roaring away, candle lit, vase of daffodils on the coffee table, all is cosy & snug. |

That sounds lovely Jax very atmospheric.
I've been emptying a few more boxes, then painted the chimney breast in a dark French Blue. It was dark wood fake wooden panelling, if you can imagine such a thing, but I gave it a couple of coats of Craig and Rose chalky paint and it looks rather fab, especially beside those sunflower tiles, so I'm pleased with that. OH had to work all weekend but looking forward to his return to share a nice casserole together We have thick snow today and blizzards. |

We have snow today...so pretty...we haven't seen snow for years.
I have managed all of today so far without having to have my broken hand in a sling...beginning to feel like I am on the mend.

The snow has been very pretty here today, it's not settled so not been disruptive but had been falling most of the day.

We have snow today...so pretty...we haven't seen snow for years. I have managed all of today so far without having to have my broken hand in a sling...beginning to feel like I am on the mend. You know what they say Cj, don't run before you can walk, particularly not on your hand !  We haven't had the snow this time, but jeepers it is cold! I roller coasted the day yesterday in moods. I woke up feeling proper grumpy no idea why ? My OH says I always am on a Monday. Then by lunchtime the mood improved to feeling quite bright and not understanding why I felt so yucky before. So on the basis of this bright moment I decided to make a huge steak one pot pie and came up with an idea to adapt some shortbread biscuits given to us at Christmas and turn them into Banoffee biscuits as I had a couple of tired bananas. Well it took all afternoon to do this, which turned my mood swing the other way, to the extent by the end of cooking and the menfolk returning home I was so sick of the food, that I didn't want to eat it  I can cook and we predominantly have homemade food, but I rarely enjoy being in the kitchen. I just do it as I want decent meals. |

I’ve got several boxes of charity stuff Linda, sitting in the spare bedroom. In London it is very common for people to leave things out on their front wall, path for others to help themselves. My daughter got rid of loads of stuff that way. Planks of wood, baby bath, you name it ....
SD I want one of those banoffee biscuits if any left!
I’ve been out to Knutsford this morning, first time I’ve driven my car this year! OH’s car is in the garage having an MOT etc. It felt quite empowering being behind the wheel again! Oh the joys of being normal!

I'm just hoping one of those charity bags comes through the front door, you know when they come and collect them. Also the BHF which Trisha suggests is probably what I shall do.
