It is true what my OH says about me on a Monday. I wake up and realise the day "Oh god it's Monday!" and immediately feel flat !! By lunchtime I have improved slightly in mood, but will refrain from any major tasks as things just don't bode well for me on this day.
Does this feeling stem back from school days? Have we all be indoctrinated to think this way?
There are so many songs about Monday's. The Mamas and Papas, Boomtown Rats, Fats Domino just to mention a few. All about disliking Monday. I find Monday to be a nothing sort of day. I can't really setting to anything.

Hmmm, strange SD seeing as you don't have to go to school anymore or race to the office I'm like Trisha, it's a nothing day for me too. OH doesn't work mon - fri and have a weekend off, it's all over the place with his work days, so sometimes not even sure if it's Monday or Dover.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
I get the Monday blues sometime,s but Thursday is still my worst day of the week - always problems, short staffed, nutters on the road, and a day usually for bad news - so today I'm head down, working, drinking lots of tea, and pretending I'm invisible lol
Even though I’m retired now I still treat the weekends as something different - spend Monday to Friday doing mostly ‘work’ things like laundry, DIY, gardening and the weekend doing mostly reading, sewing and knitting! When I worked I rarely woke up thinking oh God it’s Monday and then I didn’t work Mondays for the last few years - I used to spend the day at Dad’s helping him around the house and we’d have lunch out so I liked Monday. I remember as a child/teen not really liking Sunday afternoon/evening - nothing to do, nothing on Telly..
