.....I hope some of us are able to see our loved ones today, there is definitely something of the 'new' in the air at the moment, appropriate for Easter and exiting lockdown. Unfortunately we will not be with our daughter, she is in New Zealand for the foreseeable...I know...shame...at least she is escaping covid, she is in quarantine in Auckland at the moment and says it is brilliant, really well organised, food and service excellent, we will be zooming later. Sun still shining here, OH has almond croissants just about to come out of the oven, which we will wrap in foil, and take to the beach with a take away coffee...it is sunny but still a bit nippy noodles out there.

Back from the beach already SD, it is getting quite busy on the beach so we didn't want to hang around too long, croissants were still warm...we get the uncooked frozen ones from the Tesco's freezer, they are delicious and not too sweet and can be cooked straight from the freezer. Daughter has a 6 month visa, but will probably be applying for a 2 year one during that time, her partner is based there. Lamb here too today too how lovely to spend the day with your daughter and s-in-l....happy days...

Had a lovely walk this morning along by the canal in the sunshine, yesterday we had a bit of a chilly picnic on Hampstead Heath with our kids and their partners, first time we've seen them since mid-December so it was great to have some time together.
Almond croissants sound delicious, I envy you CJ, I would love to have a beach within reach (we live in one of those places in the middle of the country which is about as far from the sea as you can get!)

Happy Easter to you all, nice to hear you are seeing family and having a good time, we had a nice family day yesterday, it was wall to wall sunshine over here, the bouncy castle kept the grandkids busy, and we tucked into a barbecue, a surprise fly by too, the Lancaster Bomber no less, then an Easter egg hunt, one of our dogs joined in and proudly found an egg, he had swallowed it before OH could get it from him, foil and all 😀
What a difference a day makes, it’s been snowing today for the last couple of hours, I’ll be building a snowman ⛄️ soon 😄
I’m going to look out for those almond croissants Cj, they sound good 😉

Good to read everyone has been having fun. We’ve had a quiet one, just the 2 of us. The weather has been gorgeous so we’ve been in the garden a lot but not today. Blinking freezing!

It's been a lovely Easter. Finally we had an egg hunt on Sunday morning, followed by a quest (lots of written clues) as to where everything was hidden. Another one was waiting when I took our little one back home. I had a yummy lamb lunch with my bubble family. Today, it's going to be a second lockdown birthday for our granddaughter. She's seven today!
