I have just brought my Christmas tree in ready for when my willing, expect, decorator comes later. What a shock, how I did it I don't know. But....... My lights didn't tangle, other years it's taken me ages to sort them out. My wreath is on the front door, not perfect but this year it's my own work.
The two silver ones and the santa used to hang on the tree when I was small. The blue plastic one came in a box with our own first tree. We collected 6 wrappers from Cadburys chocolate, it was a white tree and I seem to recall that it was free.

Clever you Trisha! I love a wreath. Isn’t it lovely how you can look at objects that immediately take your mind to another time and situation? I wish I’d kept all the old decorations my parents had. They looked very similar to yours, made of very thin material that easily broke. Enjoy your tree dressing with your helper.
Lovely wreath on your front door Trisha, I made one myself too this year 🎅
I too have just one bauble from my childhood tree, all the others have gradually disappeared years ago, it’s a shame, but they were so thin and fragile, you can buy retro decorations on Etsy and eBay LL.
Our tree is decorated and sparkly, fairy had to go commando by the way……..….ouch 😳 I have got lots of Snowman ornaments and they are having their Christmas party on the mantle shelf ☃️
I still put the same wreath on the front door that I’ve been using for the last 20 years or more. I bought it at the festival village in the Trafford centre and anybody who has ever been there will know how long ago that has to be.
I tried to take a photo but my tablet said that the file was too big and I couldn’t use it.
When this Christmas is over I’ll be sorting out Christmas tree decorations to give to my son and his girlfriend for their house. Maybe they’ll want a colour coordinated tree though..not like mine. Mine is covered in toys and things that mean something to me. I still have the things the boys used to make at school and there’s even a decoration I made when I was in the Brownies.
Sadly hubs mum didn’t keep anything like that and I think he feels a bit left out.
