They say that it is a genetic thing whether you like sprouts or not. I am a sprout disliker but force myself to eat a couple as they are green and supposedly good for us. How about you? Like or hate them?
Didn't eat them as a child, but love them now, as do all the family, well, OS was gradually weaned onto them when he was about 36, I suggested to him, just have a couple on your plate at Christmas, and he just has a few now, he is not a fully paid up sprout member yet, but getting there
Our farm shop sells hundreds of the sprouts on their stalks at this time of the year.
I don't think that refers to the same kind of sprouts, that's bean sprouts
I think you are correct Jax. Being slightly alarmed, I have done a quick search and found this-
Sprouts may include alfalfa, clover, sunflower, broccoli, mustard, radish, garlic, dill and pumpkin as well as mung, kidney, pinto, navy, soy beans and wheat berries (wheat grass). Raw and lightly cooked sprouts, especially alfalfa, clover and mung bean sprouts, have been associated with foodborne illness in a number of outbreaks.
