Mine was an Austin 1300, it broke shortly after I bought it. My dad repaired the gearbox, and I ran it for a year, before I sold it as it was getting so rusty. I got very little for it.
Mine was my great aunt's car who died 7 years before I had it as it passed through several family members. A Hillman Imp. It didn't last long either before I replaced it with a Ford Cortina which didn't last long either!!!
I don't think I have a photo of my first car but it was a little red Fiat Panda. It was a bit unreliable but I could fit a pram in the boot without any trouble. I didn't learn to drive till I was 30 and pregnant. I had to give up my lessons when I couldn't get behind the wheel and still reach the pedals but I took my test for the first time when I'd not long given birth. Big mistake. I did pass second time though.

My first car was a skoda, it was lime green and covered in frog stickers. It was a bit creaky but it never let me down. Our son's friend was a trainee mechanic and he loved taking my car apart and soaking stuff in oil etc. He definitely made it a better car. I was well over 40 when I passed my test, as long as my car started I was happy. Hubs first car was an Austin 8? He had a Ford popular when I met him.

I got my first car in 1998 when I was 38 - an Austin Maestro, a friend of my Dads sold it to me. It lasted quite well but had to scrap it in the end - most of my cars have been scrapped... mainly because I never got them serviced but I've learnt since those days and serviced my last 2 cars even if they hadn't done enough miles to warrant one..
My first car was a Vauxhall Viva and it was great I sold to my then future MIL and she drove it for ages not sure what happened to it probably gave up the ghost. Great fun
