Anyone else find summer footwear difficult? It's fine whilst the sun is out, flip flops, sandals, espadrilles work but when the rains comes as it has this last week I struggle to find shoes that are sensible but look good with summer clothing. What do you wear and please don't say wellies!!!
With my ongoing foot issues, I'm struggling just to find something comfy. I'm afraid fashion/looks have gone out the window a long while ago, and now I tend to dress from the feet up according to what is comfy on a particular day lol
Maybe I'm thinking wrongly here as comfort should have come into my first post VW. I cannot wear heels anymore so need flatties but I can't find anything weatherproof and comfy! Those trainer type shoes seem very popular but are canvas and I remember how dirty my daughter's used to be after a night out!

They are also cheap, so get two pairs and throw them into the washing machine?
Alternatively ankle boots are now fashionable, even with a skirt.

Skechers are what my younger patients are all raving about.

I used to own a coupls of pairs - purchased at Cheshire Oaks when it first opened. I have got quote small feet but was really chuffed as fitted in their size 3's!!!!! Maybe I should look to get another pair - but have to be reasonable formal for work......
Oh this is something I was thinking about today! I have loads of sandals, lots of high heeled sexy knock-em-dead shoes and masses of boots of all shapes and sizes. But no shoes for every day, wet weather wear. I just wear ankle boots with jeans when it is rainy. Even in mid summer!
I love boots. Would wear them every day if I could. Even on the beach. Actually, I did wear them in the beach today whilst walking the dogs in St Andrews!

The summer shoes I love the most are Fit Flops, you can get them in so many designs to dress up or down. When I got mine out at the beginning of the season I could feel the benefit on my bum, thighs and calves after just one day of walking about in them.
There is a lot to be said for being part of a group, and the support and friendship that is gained from this.
The trouble with summer shoes is that we don't wear tights or socks with them and are at risk of the dreaded blisters! For every day wear this year I bought some mary jane style cream leather shoes from Clarks which are so soft that blisters are a distant memory!
