For the past couple of days I have been out in the garden having a tidy up ready for the winter. The side border is sprouting 'twitch' grass. The stuff that has roots that spread when you blink. I'm only doing a small area at a time to try and get all the roots. It seems to be never ending. There are lots of bulbs sprouting, not sure whether they are snowfalls or muscari.

We tend to follow up scraping them away with a kettle of boiling water, followed by a generous sprinkle of salt.
Sorry, I got sidetracked, I am talking path weeds.

I love Autumn in the garden Trisha, a good freshen up. Take it easy though, it's back breaking.

I go out every now and then, pull a few weeds, plant something new and then go indoors again.... I would love to get the garden in tip top shape but with children in it every day, I am waiting a couple of years until I retire and then do it properly. In the summer holidays one little love told me they had been digging potatoes - bulbs...

I have just been looking at the weather forecast for this week. It's going to get colder and it's going to rain. Tomorrow is the only day to give the lawn a trim. It could be the final one before winter sets in.
