Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday ., not as intense as the season we are now in & not as noisy ( nobody shoots of guns , sets off firecrackers ) as 4th of July .
I went to a traditional turkey dinner party for expat Americans at a fancy restaurant . Myself & many others noticed how the turkey tasted different then it does in the USA and figured out the reason is because back home turkeys are fed corn or a special feed while out here they get rice .Still tasted good and the stuffing was great.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my son and his American family. What a feast! Rather like our Christmas dinner but no bread sauce or cranberry sauce. Sweet potato mash with a macadamia topping. Very sweet! Mashed potatoes. They made sausage and bacon rolls for nibbles. Sausages in the US are not like the U.K. and neither is the bacon. After dinner we played games. Chatted. All in all a very nice day.
