I've found that as I've got older my stomach can't tolerate a lot of processed foods. Hubby is the same. Also now I'm diabetic I have to think of my daily carb allowance all the time. That's not as hard as it sounds as I make sure I don't miss out on anything I really want and just adjust later.
The last time I had pizza I felt like I had the worst hangover the next day. I don't know what it is that they put n there but I don't like it.
I can't eat big meals any longer Magggzz. Did you see the programme where diabetics eating a veg and wholefood diet plus white meat and fish reversed their diabetes and one is in remission They hope to stop using the injections. Good for them and the NHS.
I don't believe you can reverse diabetes. You can get it into remission and that's my aim. I've done a lot of reading and this could have been brewing for 10 years or more. I learned on my course that the high insulin levels you get when you're sugar is high causes your body to release hunger hormones which are impossible to resist. In other words while people think you're diabetic because you're fat it can be the other way round. If I'd known and had help years ago this might not have happened. It probably would though as my mum is diabetic. She's a great example for me though of everything you shouldn't do.
