The lady in front of me in the queue ordered a gingerbread latte. Who knew that such a thing was available? Anyway, this lady told me that they were delicious. I have had my first gingerbread latte and it definitely won't be my last.

I love gingerbread Trisha but never had a latte. Is that like a milky coffee? There are so many coffee terms that I have never got to grips with. My son made me a double espresso last week. I always thought that it would be SO STRONG that I’d not be able to drink it but I was pleasantly surprised. Not that I’ve had another 😂

Gracie, latte is really just another way of saying frothy coffee. If you like ginger, you will like this.

You're living on the wild side Trisha my daughter took me to Starbucks a couple of years back to have one, I think it was a seasonal thing at the time. Really lovely. This is something I love about the autumn/winter, all these wonderfully thought out drinks to warm you and bring a comforting hug

When our friends visit and we go out to lunch at the pub, I am going to try one, it sounds tasty and seasonal

It was in Costa. I seem to have drifted into a routine on Saturday morning, walk to the supermarket for weekend newspaper and magazine then a pleasant 1/2 or so people watching. You can get sachets to make your own at home, but it's the walk that clears the cobwebs.

We have a nespresso machine that takes pods ( I feel guilty about this but the coffee is just so good) . We buy pods from Amazon and my son bought a milk frothier. I get sugar free vanilla syrup from Amazon as well and recently we got sugar free gingerbread and cinnamon syrup. I've got two sprinklers, one with cocoa in and one with cinnamon in. We love our coffees and can make them every bit as good as Costa.
We can also have them multiple times a day. We only got the machine last Christmas and I think it's getting worn out already. That's what happens when it's used over 20 times a day. If it does break though I'd get another.

Thanks 6herry. Fair point but actually what makes me feel guilty is the nonreusable pods. We're wasting a ton of plastic a day in the pods. I always pit them in the recycling bin which is probably the wrong thing to do. Nespresso pods are made of aluminium and you can get recycling bags at the shop which you can fill and take back but they work out at about 30p or more each. That can really mount up if we're going through 20-30 pods a day. We buy Amazons own brand and they work out at 5-7p each depending on which ones you buy and they're just as good but they're made of plastic.
We're a family of 4 adults who all love coffee. I looked into buying reusable pods but it didn't work out. So we carry on disposing of all that plastic. At one time I swore I'd never buy one of these machines and carry on using my cafetière but as I've said the coffee from the machine is so much better. I'm sitting here with a cup now. It has gingerbread syrup in it and cream. It's lovely.

I had a quick look for gingerbread syrup, it looks as though it only comes in litre bottles. It would take forever for me to work my way down one of those. I didn't have cream on mine, I don't carry a mirror in my bag. It could have been embarrassing Trisha
