Minus 5.5 degrees C this morning - felt more like Minus 10 though. Very dry air - no frost as such, just fine powdery snow. Not a lot on the ground here yet on the West side of the country but its coming......
Moi, we are in North Yorkshire and we have lots of snow. It's minus ? and very windy. It doesn't take much to bring our Country to a standstill. Roads are closed, bus services suspended, trains not running and airports struggling. Schools closed etc. Children with lovely pink faces and snowmen popping up everywhere. Yes we built a small one with one little granddaughter. That's why we love living here.
I’m in London where it snowed on and off all of yesterday and was snowing again this morning. It is so cold! Normally I love snow but as my daughter is going to deliver her baby any day it is a worry. She is now 5 days over her due date!
LL, how far away from the hospital does your daughter live? When I was on my due date for our daughter, hubs was worried that he wouldn't get home in time. His office secretary told him that I would crave something the day before I went into labour. The night before our daughter was born, I was eating Heinz vegetable soup! I hate the stuff, to this day I will never know how I actually had a tin in the cupboard! Keep an eye out for unusual eating patterns! I hope that this little one stays put in the warm until the snow goes.

She wants a Home birth Trisha. Last week she was told she should go to hospital instead because the baby was breached and she had it turned. She’s a stubborn girl and thinks I’m from the Dark Ages! The hospital is only about 5 minutes away but she desperately wants her midwife friend present, ( she told her last week the baby was breached) and she works in a hospital on the other side of a London! I will look out for any odd food requests.
