Absolutely need a good teacher for anything, yoga or Pilates. I've done both but prefer yoga and was told by my first teacher that all yoga teachers teach different poses and classes can be different, she is so right. Some classes can be very fast so avoid vinyasa flow to begin with, yin yoga is where you hold positions for minutes on end and if muscles are tight it might not be good for you. Restorative yoga I find is similar and although the name makes it sound easy, I didn't find it so. I was told that ALL yoga is Hatha yoga. I recommend it to everyone as it's good for your body and your mind and wanted to learn to be a teacher but found it was too much at the time so am back to practicing. Give it a go!
I didn't pay to get my colours done and agree with you 6herry that it's expensive. I had it done because I was given it as a present and have this little wad of coloured fabrics which sit in a drawer and I don't remember ever taking them shopping. I feel at my age I've learnt my colours from years of trying on clothes and when I shop I go instinctively to certain colours. Friends do the same and if I was to buy a scarf as a gift I think I'd do a good job at choosing the right colours.
I didn't see it either. There are just too many programmes on TV now!!! A while back there were pottery painting cafes popping up and I went to one in Hale where I had a great time painting a plate. Would love to do it again but as for making pottery, I think I'd be rubbish
Nice dress and in a nice shade of yellow. Have you ever had your colours done? I can wear some shades of red but not all so assume it's the same for each colour!
Remember that expression, "gut feeling", well it sounds to me that you have a gut feeling about your boyfriend so you're probably right which is very sad. You say your whole life would fall apart but it wouldn't and you have to believe that. Women are strong so tell yourself that and that you are better than him if he is cheating on you. You deserve someone nicer, loving, caring and reliable. I think the others are right, talk to him and find out the truth.
I have been doing lots of knitting recently and use YouTube to help when I'm stuck on what the pattern says. I've learnt loads from joining thread to a styles I've never come across before. Who's ever tried Arm Knitting? You use your arms instead of needles and thick chunky wool and you can knit a whole scarf in about 30 minutes!!! i find it so therapeutic watching it grow so quickly but there are only so many scarves you can knit and I've now decided to learn crochet so have bought the hooks and got some nice wool. Im going to start with making small flowers. Do all the knitters here do crochet too?
Grey and damp and sporadic rain! Had a date with my washing basket today! I hope it doesn't snow but as it's so damp out there I doubt it would stick. Keep warm and safe everyone.
I like your hamper idea but check out what foods can be taken into China Magggzzz as some countries have very strict laws. I'm just back from America and you can't take meat, dairy and other stuff in there. What about a tea towel with British or Welsh views which would be a bit of a naff present if anyone gave me a tea towel but if foreign then I think it's more interesting. Or what about a fold up bag? There must be some about that have views of here. Gloves, socks, scarf?
Have you ever hitch hiked? Have you ever given a hitch-hiker a lift?
I've not done the first but have done the second. We gave some German guys a lift when we were on holiday in Greeece a long, long time ago. Felt rather blasé and not bothered at all with strangers in the car.
Hitch -hikers are not as common as years ago but I've never heard of any going missing and being murdered, etc, nor heard of any doing the same to drivers so why is it not so popular?
