Thanks Ladies, I feel better already! I have got a couple of nice scarves that would go with it Badpuss, that's a good idea. I think maybe the navy tights might give me a less chopped silhouette B - I will try to keep an eye on what I'm eating but at the moment with hubby off work still, and I'm off Mondays and Fridays now, we are enjoying having a lot of lunches out - I make soup at home and have healthy meals planned but then can't say no when he suggests we have a meal out together - I will have to encourage him to have a nice long walk with me afterwards lol!
It's for a Chrismas get together meal in a cosy pub with girlfriends. I was thinking of wearing black ankle boots with it (they have a heel of about 3"). Do you think a knitted dress is ok for this type of occasion? Would you wear ankle boots with it, I have suede Mary Jane shoes in dark red colour? What kind of tights would you wear? I was thinking of just nude colour tights as a contrast but also have thick navy or black ones too...
I've put a fair bit of weight on lately and seem to have lost my confidence in making decisions regarding what to wear!
At least your hubby wasn't dressed as a zombie clown B! We get a few of the minded children knocking - I was on granny duty with our 7 year old grandson so hubby stayed at home to dish out the sweets :-)
My friend and I used to hitch everywhere (I was 18 at the time) and I gave a ride to a young couple who were doing a sort of treasure hunt for charity about 8 years ago but don't think I would do it now though...
Granny duty is really tough sometimes Trisha - it's worse in the summer when the birds start singing at 4:30... Wouldn't change it for the world though - this granny is on duty for Halloween (got my broom MOT'd last week cackle cackle!) :-D
I mananged to stay in bed a bit longer than normal but was counting the minutes till bedtime later too!
I had a feeling Candice would win but still got emotional when I saw the final on catch-up - well done to her because they were all very very good ....
I love pearls and have some lovely pearl earrings - my earrings are reminders of where I got them or who gave them to me and have some ruby and diamond starburst ones that I got from my MIL sadly passed away now, I have bought Jet from Whitby and Amber from Walberswick all lovely reminders of holidays with family and friends. It's hard for me to pinpoint my favourite but I do love opals...
